The excitement and thrill still did not feel outdated. There were domestic abuse and sexual scenes.įor a huge fan of fantasy romance, my heart was full for rediscovering this gem even though it was written decades ago. It’s just that there were explicit contents in this novel which is not good for readers ages 17 and below. The dual POV was also something I would like to commend I was able to understand both of their personal sentiments. The character development was strong, knowing that Sol and Briar’s personalities were relatable too. I must say that it was a character-driven story with a medium-paced flow for a 188-page book. ![]() Unlike the freedom that we all have today in picking the person, we would like to date or marry, women before were not that rightful to choose the man they would end up with. This trope was rampantly used during the historical period where the female protagonist had to marry someone she did not like for the sake of securing herself. ![]() The Dragon’s Bride by Katee Robert is a fantasy romance that focused on a marriage of convenience idea. ![]()
